The Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme

The Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme provides assistance to help decrease emissions from public sector buildings. By 2037, a target of reducing emissions by 75% has been agreed upon in comparison with the benchmark set in 2017. This was set out in the 2021 Net Zero and Heat and Buildings procedures. This scheme can involve a variety of purposes for instance enhanced insulation, Solar and Commercial High Temperature Heat Pumps.

Both the Public Sector Low Carbon Skills Fund and the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme can be found to public sector organisations in England and areas of reserved public services through the United Kingdom.

The Pure High Temperature Heat Pump ranges are the next generation of Heat Pumps, providing as much as read more 120C flow temperatures, they are ideal for both retrofit and new build purposes. At the time of writing this article (October 2022), the scheme’s Stage 3b application window is currently open. The guidance notes, application form and application portal are offered within the Salix Finance website. Phase 3b will deliver approximately £635 million of funding over the financial years 2023 to 2025.
